InfoBox 2012 – BMM-Information Seminar for HSC/12th Grade Students

Hello to all the media enthusiasts (and to BMMites and faculty members who know someone who is looking for BMM-related info!)

Have you or your friends, relatives been considering joining a media course?
Are you or other people you know looking at colleges in Mumbai that offer BMM but don’t know which one to go for?
Why does one college have the BMM-entrance test while others don’t?
Are you or others confused about the entrance test? Or don’t know how to prepare for the test?
What does it take to do a media course? Are you cut for it?

Answers to this and more! BMMBox has planned InfoBox 2012 – a BMM-Information Seminar for all those who are interested in securing admission in the various BMM colleges including St. Xavier’s, Jai Hind, KC, Wilson, UPG, Rizvi, Ruia, and so on!

What: InfoBox 2012 (BMM-Information Seminar)
When: Sunday, May 13, 2012
Time: 930 AM until 4PM
Where:
St Xavier’s College, CST, Mahapailka Marg, Mumbai
Registration Fee: Rs. 1,000/- Only*
Discount: 5% For 2 To 3 group participants and 10% For 4 To 5 group participants

*A nominal registration/participation fee is being charged so that only genuine participants turn up at the event. Parents/guardians can attend by taking an additional pass for themselves.

Part 2
- What makes a good media/BMM College
- Why getting admitted to a good media/BMM college is VERY important
- Points to consider when choosing a media college

Part 3
- Clearing the BMM-Entrance Exam confusion
- Which colleges are taking the entrance test
- How to prepare for those tests

Part 4
- Open Question and Answers session to ask all your doubts (if not covered during the sessions), and personal thoughts or apprehensions on taking the course.
- Industry Interaction: Interact with media professionals, and Ex-BMMites who are now working at advertising agencies, media and production houses, MNCs, public relations agencies, large publications, event managements companies, etc

The BMMBox Internship Program

BMMBox.com – The First Bachelor of Mass Media Website is looking for good folks who are looking for an internship. While on an internship, interns dont get paid – cuz the site is run by BMM students for BMM students – but they do get a really cool internship certificate for the great work they do!

If you’re game, read the Roles and Responsibility of a BMMBox Intern below;

Role Title: Content Writer
Role Responsibility:
- We provide you the topics and you send them in via email!
- You work from home/hostel/Honolulu/Marrakesh/Wherever you want!
- We are very particular about deadlines – so the articles should come on on dates decided.
- All original content! No cheating, no using Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V :)

Role Title: CareerBox Associate
Role Responsibility:
- Establishing connection with agencies and getting in touch with HR
- Checking if they have relevant openings for BMM students
- Updating those openings on the site

Role Title: BMM Alumni Interaction Assocaite
Role responsibility:
- Looking out for BMM Alumni who are doing well in the industry and getting their interview
- Coordinate with them and send them the interview form link
- Update the content on the site

Role Title: Member Activation Champion
Role responsibility:
- Building the Brand ‘BMMBox’ and getting new users registered on the site

All internships have begun but you can still apply until 19th April. A cool internship certificate follows :)
