With over twenty colleges invited for participation, Detour hosts a large number of extraordinarily talented students every year. Colleges from all corners of the city are invited; -Detour is where KC College of South Mumbai, RD National College of Bandra and SIES College from Nerul meet ! Detour hosts approximately 5000 undergraduate students between the age group of 18-21. Students of BMM, or BMMiites as they are fondly referred to, are primarily aspiring film-makers, ad gurus, journalists and creative designers, and these talented BMMiites are those who will represent the future of the Indian media industry. The assignments carried out as a part of the BMM curriculum requires them to create ad campaigns, shoot documentaries, script plays and so on, thus ensuring that the talent of these students is honed as is appropriate of the contemporary media standards.
It is these few handpicked students, out of the many thousands in the city, who attend Detour. It is also thanks to these students that Detour has evolved into the brand name it is today. To be related to Detour and its most essential element -its participants- would entitle one to the benefits that Brand Detour extends to its associates.
Detour is a wonderful platform for fellow BMM students to participate in and for advertisers to be associated with as BMMiites meet and compete with whom they shall eventually interact in the industry. It is these students who will go on to make up the Indian media industry in the coming years.
