At Detour, since its very inception in 2008, we have strived to incorporate judges who are esteemed professionals from the media industry, in order to grant participants and students a feel of the quality and expectations from them based on real-world media standards.
Detour’08
Detour ’08 was held between the 8th and 10th December 2008. The celebrity judges for Detour ’08 had been Siddharth Anand, Raghav Sachar, Ronit Roy, Kitu Gidwani, Vinay Pathak. The festival closed with the trademark Detour Awards Night ceremony, wherein winners of various events and title winners were announced. Detour ’08 witnessed an extremely high response to our trademark event, Your Own PR. The enormous backing to the event has now made it a common element at every media fest in the city.
Detour ‘09
Detour’s second edition was hosted on the 27th, 28th and 29 October 2009. The chief guest for the Awards Night had been bollywood actor Imran Khan. The festival was hosted at the Jai Hind College campus and Not Just Jazz By the Bay. This edition of Detour was organized by the Jai Hind BMM Batch of 2008-2011. Among the many other celebrity judges hosted, a few were prominent Indian models Pia Trivedi and Sahil Shroff, bollywood actress Konkona Sen Sharma, critically-acclaimed film-maker Jagmohan Mundhra, fashion designer Vikram Phadnis and bollywood director Tarun Mansukhani.
